Tiller's Folly is currently booking two different school shows:
STIRRING UP GHOSTS
Tiller's Folly have been performing songs about the Pacific region, its colourful history and its people, since the group's inception. Many of these songs are becoming true Northwest classics - stories about the dynamic characters and historical events that have shaped the Pacific Northwest. Tiller's Folly has performed these songs at hundreds of schools and community arts concerts throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. | |

As British Columbia prepares to celebrate its sesquicentennial (1858-2008) and the Pacific Northwest's bicentennial of both Simon Fraser's and David Thompson's expeditions (1808-2008), a great degree of focus will be directed towards Pacific history and heritage. | TILLER'S FOLLY CELTIC SPIRIT SHOW Tiller's Folly teams up with students from the O'Brien School of Irish Dance to explore the roots of Celtic culture. As the dancers perform, students will learn the basic components of traditional Irish music and dance. We explore jigs, reels, slip jigs, and more. |
The Celtic Spirit Show will also introduce students to the Irish and Scottish ballad tradition (stories told in song). We touch on the Broadside and Bothy ballad traditions, and the important roll ballads played both historically and in preserving Celtic history and heritage. |
