Invited to tour Scotland in 2004, Tiller's Folly soon found themselves surrounded by a collection of the finest Celtic musicians in the world. They watched, listened, jammed, performed, and socialized to their heart's content. This coming together of influences is the inspiration behind Buchan Bluegrass, which explores the relationship between the North American bluegrass tradition and its roots in Scottish ballads and fiddle music.
From the eloquent Robert Burns' classics, "There'll Never Be Peace Until Jamie Comes Hame" to Bothy ballads like "The Barnyards O' Delgaty" and "The Hairst O' Rhettie," Tiller's Folly breathes new life and passion into traditional Scots music. |
