Really enjoyed your special performance at Alan and Becky's. I'll always remember Laurence laying downa a driving bass in his socks, Bruce's heartfelt song to his children's children and "almost" not eating his chips in Inverness, and Nolan turning a fiddle bow into a magic wand. Thanks you all for sharing your special gifts with us!

Had the pleasure of seeing you at the last concert at the old fire hall in Rossland, B.C. about a year and a half ago. You rocked the house out way past closing and we danced the night away! Laurence was kind enough to talk with us a couple of times and we really appreciated that a lot. I have been a singer in our local musical theatre company for about 20 years, used to be a soprano but age has made me an alto/tenor now and after damage to my voice I am starting to sing again in a local coffee house this fall. Just wondering if it would be ok to sing a couple of your songs? This is an all volunteer, unpaid venue. I don't know the rules for these things. Thanks for one of the best nights ever!

I've been a fan for many years. Living in the Kootenays, my exposure to diverse genres of music was limited.
I just relocated to Vancouver Island. I am in Paradise, in so many ways.
I'm sad to have missed the Chemainus performance. Just a few weeks too late. Be back soon? Hope so.
I'm excited to know that I will have the chance to see a live show sometime soon.

Our extended family was skiing up in Whistler, BC over the week of April 4th, 2011 and happened into catching Bruce at the Irish Pub there. He delighted out family and had them singing and dancing around the stage. He won our hearts, embarassed my mother in law with the hotel request and was simply delightful. It really made the evening memorable for our family. We're from Spokane, WA down in the states, but we'll hope to catch up with him again some day. Thanks again for the great music and entertainment! - Steve

I have been reading the history of the B.C. provincial police and they mentioned "McGowan's War" it reminded me of Judge Sunner of Bridge River because the judge found everyone guilty - he felt that was the only way he could maintain the support of the provincial police force. One of his decisions - against the miners in the first strike of miners in the province led to a very unique outcome -it revealed how to get Judge Sunner's decisions either reversed or penalty reduced - and he rarely bothered the ladies of the evening or the gamblers -Those were the days my friends we thought they'd never end.

I am so looking forward to the release of your recording with Valdy!!! some time ago, I bought a copy of your 'ghosts of the Fraser' CD Didn't know you'd recorded anything else. One of the things that I like about your album is it's meaningful nature....it's not all about love and relationships. Not that I hate love songs, but there's more to the world. It's significant that the Irish culture was saved by the musical recounting of irish history and stories....and we may soon come to appreciate the same here

Hi guys, just had a very enjoyable dinner with the kids home from college eating fresh food from the garden, good wine and "A Ripple in Time" playing. One of those great moments for a parent to see your kids grow into wonderful adults and to be able to spend 'old fashioned time' with them. We thought of you and wished you could join us. Hope the homeland is treating you well, wish we could be there for one of your concerts. Take care, John

Met you at the closing of the firehall concert April 10 this year . Such a great concert and thanks so much for staying so long. Ended up on the dance floor in a long sweater to cover up the wine that saturated my clothes after my rather inebriated gal pal marinated me! Bought the River So Wide and Minstrel in Moray and haven't had them out of my car since. Thanks so much for a great concert and heres hoping the Performance series here has you back again!!

These alternative lyrics salute a once proud motorcycle.......I'm here by your side, I can't get no spark\ to go for a final short ride/ Its hard to imagine an engine so strong/ in silence, the sucker just died.........In each line on your tank theres a story/ the lap times, the races you've seen/ here at last at the end of the journey/rust in peace, forever, machine.........How bravely you battled, you raced with the cars/ you caused those damn cagers to pay/ now a voice at the scrappers assessing your parts/ all the more I wish you could stay.......Still I know that your spirit is rising/ on the fumes of your last gasoline/ to the bars where you become legend/ rust in peace, forever, machine........
