Legendary Soul/Bluegrass vocalist John Cowan (John Cowan Band, Doobie Brothers, Newgrass Revival) is about to release his latest CD entitled Sixty.


CD COVER - SIXTY BY JOHN COWANWorking with band mate and producer John McFee (Elvis Costello, Doobie Brothers), John Cowan has assembled an amazing list of guest artists including Leon Russell, Alison Krauss and Sam Bush (to name only a very few), on the way to creating what is shaping up to be a cross-genre musical celebration of his 35 year career.


The first single from the album is Things I Haven't Done, penned by Tiller's Folly songsmith Bruce Coughlan (from the CD A River So Wide). This newest version features a duet with John Cowan and legendary songwriter Rodney Crowell (She's Crazy for Leaving, Shame On the Moon, Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight). Other notable players on a track include Jim Messina (Buffalo Springfield, Poco, Loggins and Messina) on guitar and Huey Lewis (Huey Lewis & The News) on harmonica.
